Assistant Manager- Boutique Location - University Place Mall

As the Assistant Store Manager, you inspire, motivate, lead, and develop a store team. You impact the overall bottom line by maintaining optimal staffing levels, recruiting, hiring, educating, and motivating a team. You are responsible for setting the example for customer engagement that exceeds industry standards. You maximize store profitability by ensuring that store standards and processes for merchandising, operations, and community participation are well executed. You create an inclusive environment and always put our customers first.

Qualifications

Creates and reinforces a proactive selling culture that focuses on building a confident and competent team in order to build a loyal guest following through clear and positive communication

 Minimum 1 years of experience managing in a retail store

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Excellent organization and leadership skills; able to plan and execute tasks efficiently

 Proactive and creative problem solving ability

 Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities as well as be adaptable

 Willingness and ability to work weekends, nights and holidays

 Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting and climbing

 Responsibilities

 Our Assistant Store Manager must have excellent guest service skills, merchandising, product display, and presentation abilities, be an effective problem solver, (we expect our Assistant Store Manager to run our store hand in hand with the Store Manager as if it were their own business)

 Through strategizing, coaching and accountability the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for leading and motivating their team, creating an unparalleled guest experience, and in turn, maximizing sales

 Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends and holidays

 Drives business results by maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses and improving metrics through sales floor leadership, development and execution of training programs, and continuous coaching on and off the sales floor

 Plans, delegates and follows up on expected tasks, assignments and activities to ensure expectations and objectives are met

 Works directly with Store Manager to accomplish Retail Goals

 Demonstrates a passion for fashion by understanding trends

 Understands and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner

 Performs and supervises store opening and closing procedures including bank deposits and securing the boutique

 Protects the physical assets of the store by conducting weekly audits, routine cycle counts and an annual physical inventory
