Q: Tell us about yourself and boutique

A: You will find our boutique nestled in a 3 story red barn @ the Berlin Village Gift Barn.  We offer our locals wonderful unique clothing close to home. To our tourist a delightful surprise awaits them with our clothing lines!

Q: What do you love about MIKAROSE Clothing?

A: We love the size range that MIKAROSE offers. We feel it will fit every women’s sizes.  As well as, the length of the skirts and dresses is longer then most.

Q: How is MIKAROSE different from other clothing?

A: MIKAROSE has fun colors and offers a modest taste to the clothing.

Q: What do you love having a boutique?

A: We love the customers that arrive to buy home décor and fall in love with our clothing. We love helping our locals find that perfect dress for graduation or capris for spring break. The relationships that  develop with our customers is our very favorite thing about being a part of our boutique!

Q: What does your boutique offer to customers?

A: We offer one of a kind pieces of jewelry that you can’t find just anywhere. We offer many different sizes and styles for all women as we all know we are not the same size and we have different taste in clothing. You won’t find our clothing in malls because we strive to be different enough to keep you coming back for more. We buy few pieces  of each item (clothing, scarves, jewelry etc) to allow you the customer to be unique and not look like everyone else.

Q: What do you enjoy most about modeling?

A: My favorite aspect of modeling is just being able to wear the beautiful and amazing MIKAROSE clothing!  I love knowing that MIKAROSE fashions are modest and classy and designed to look good on all types of women. Just being pretty for a day is fun, along with demonstrating  that the MIKAROSE fashions bring out the beauty in all women.

Q: Who is your Fashion Idol?

A: Audrey Hepburn is my fashion idol. She is the embodiment of class, sophistication and natural beauty.

Q: What about Fashion is most important to you?

A: I love the ability to utilize fashion in order to feel both modest and classy. Modesty is very important to me in my daily life. Because I served a religious mission, I want to be able to retain my values, and also look my best.  

Q: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

A: My favorite thing about myself is that I love to laugh and just maintain a happy spirit. I love to have fun.

Q: What do you love about MIKAROSE Clothing?

A: I love MIKAROSE clothing because it is both beautiful and modest. The designs and colors are beautiful and the clothes look good on everyone.

Q: What is advice that you would give to women about why they should wear/buy MIKAROSE Clothing?

A: No matter where you go, you will always look and feel good in a MIKAROSE dress. From a fancy party to an important business meeting to a casual lunch with friends, a MIKAROSE dress is always appropriate.

Here is our interview with Holloway! Thanks for being such an amazing model. A little bit about Holloway.

“One thing that I try to promote is education in women: kind of being the ‘full package’ as it were, brains and beauty. I have 3 Undergraduate Degrees and start Grad school in June.”

Q: What do you enjoy most about modeling?

A: Modeling to me, is about loving your body – every curve, stretch mark, bump and bruise. Modeling helps me see the beauty in myself. Every BODY is beautiful.

Q: Who is your Fashion Idol?

A: I wouldn’t say I had a ‘fashion idol’ but I love vintage and retro looks. I model my personal style off of Christina Hendricks from the AMC TV show ‘MadMen’. Her character is also my namesake. Janie Bryant does the costuming on the show, and she has found about a million ways to a woman look beautiful.

Q: What about Fashion is most important to you?

A: I think that it is important for fashion to be accessible, above all. Some looks I see on the runway and in stores are complete nonsense. They don’t work for everyday women! It’s important for designers to celebrate women who work, who are moms, who appreciate modesty, etc. We’re not a ‘one-look-fits-all’ society.

Q: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

A: My favorite thing about myself? Well! My hourglass shape, that’s for sure! I appreciate my self-confidence and the fact it has inspired others to feel confident in themselves. When I was a kid, and adults would say, “You’re such a pretty girl!” My mom taught me to respond with, “Yes. I am!” Good advice at any age. My brain is pretty awesome to!

Q: What do you love about MIKAROSE Clothing?

A: I love MIKAROSE because they understand the ‘modest’ does not mean uncomfortable, stuffy and unflattering. MIKAROSE is an incredibly classy line and works on so many body types. You can really tell that there is a lot of love invested in this company.

Q: What is advice that you would give to women about why they should wear/buy MIKAROSE Clothing?

A: MIKAROSE provides a unique look to any woman. The looks, colors, and prints are very becoming. I think that when women hear “modest clothing” they may immediately thinkthat the line is not for them…but seriously, take a look. Try some things on. These clothes are not meant to sit on hangers – they need to be worn!

In Memory of Parker Allred

Today on the blog we wanted to feature Parker Allred who the son of one of our team members. It has been a hard couple days due to Parker’s passing.  He was an inspiration to all. Parker was a bright and handsome young man.  He was highly active in his High School  and played football and water polo.  He was loved by many around him and continues to be loved by all he came in contact with.

Parker passed away after getting a simple flu that turned into many life threatening diseases such as; Pneumonia, Staph infection and septicemia. There are so many people that have lost their lives or ended up in the hospital with many life threatening illnesses and today we want to take a moment and let them all know that you are in our prayers. Please stay healthy this time of year.

Parker’s family asks that you all consider donating blood in your community to help people suffering from this and similar illnesses. We can all stop and pay it forward to help the world be a little healthier.
